The term Shambhava refers to the natural state of being that exists within and that can be experienced through the practices of yoga.
Shambhava yoga encompasses breath-focused hatha yoga, meditation practices, and sanskrit mantras. Classes emphasize inner focus, compassion, and developing a more balanced and authentic experience of oneself in the world.
The Shambhava School of Yoga was founded over 30 years ago by Rishi Maha Mandaleshwar Sri Shambhavananda. Shambhava Yoga draws from the rich philosophical tradition of Kashmir Shaivism to explain how to use the circumstances of our own lives to grow consciously.
